County and municipal elections 2025
The county and municipal elections are approaching
The advance voting period is from April 2 to April 8, 2025, and the election day is Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Voting is one of the most important ways to affect the city’s decision making.
The city council is chosen by the people and is the legislative body that governs the city. A new council is chosen in every four years at the Municipal elections. The Rauma City Council has 43 members.
In Finland there are four general nationwide elections:
- Municipal and County elections every four years, 13.4.2025
- Parliamentary elections every four years, next time on 18.4.2027
- Presidential elections every six years, next time on 27.1.2030
- European elections every five years
