Submit at Least 30 Days Before Event

The event organiser is responsible for organising the waste management of the event and for cleaning up any littered areas. A waste management plan is required for larger public events, especially if food and drink is served.

The plan is approved by the City of Rauma Environmental Protection. The plan will be processed in conjunction with the noise notice if no other notices is submitted. The plan will be added to the noise notice as an attachment to the noise notice on the lupapiste.fi service. The plan must be submitted 30 days before the start of the event.

The waste management plan must include

  • An estimate of the number of visitors to the event and the amount of waste generated, in kilograms or tonnes, by type of waste, e.g. mixed waste, cardboard, cardboard, biowaste, metal and glass
  • Number and location of waste collection containers by type of waste as indicated on the map
  • Waste sorting guidelines
  • Frequency of emptying of bins in case of multi-day events.
