Compliance with the Food Act

If the event involves the sale or serving of food, a notification is made to the Environmental Health Care. The sale or serving of food must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Food Act. The event organiser must ensure that the mobile food premises of the food business operators are approved or have been notified to the Food Control Authority of the operator’s municipality of origin.

No notification is required for small-scale activities, such as small-scale food sales or serving by individuals or hobby clubs. If you are not sure whether the activity is low risk, contact your health inspector.
