Electricity

You should check with the licensing authority in the area about the availability of electricity. The City of Rauma usually has electrical outlets on its land, such as squares and parks, from which the event organiser can obtain electricity for the event. The electrical outlets are indicated on the maps of the event areas.

If there are no or not enough electrical outlets in the area, you should contact the customer service of the local grid company Rauman Energia Oy to find out what options are available. When ordering electricity, please indicate the amount of electricity required and the location or address of the desired connection point. For venues that do not already have a fixed metering system and sockets, a separate switchboard can be hired. The customer service will advise you on ordering the right size of switchboard. The temporary electricity connection must be ordered at least two weeks before the electricity is connected.

For outdoor events, special attention must be paid to electrical safety. Electrical equipment must be protected from rain and vandalism. Electrical cables shall be laid on the surface and must be suitably covered and protected. Electrical installations must be commissioned from a professional.

Water and Drainage

The event areas shown on the areal guidelines have water points connected to the City of Rauma water system. The water is safe to drink. Connection to the sewage system is also possible for certain areas. Connection to the water and sewerage network must be made in accordance with the requirements and safety regulations of the authorities. Water pipes shall be laid as surface water pipes and shall be suitably covered and protected.
