Information About Rauma Art School
Children and young people aged 7-18 study basic studies in visual arts. The aim of the teaching is to support one’s own expression, appreciation of culture, the theory of art-making and knowledge of different materials and tools. The school teaches painting, drawing, construction, photography, ceramics and printmaking. Studying at the Rauma Art School is a regular and goal-oriented, long-term activity where students can develop their expression and find a lifelong hobby. It also prepares students for vocational studies.
Basic Courses
7-11 year olds practice making observations and get to know the different materials and tools used in art-making. The work emphasises imagination, self-expression and creativity.
Workshops
11-18 year olds take part in different workshops, deepening their knowledge and skills in areas such as painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, architecture, sculpture and ceramics.
