Grants for youth work

How to apply
Applications for the 2025 Youth Action and Target Grants were open in October 2024, and more information on the 2026 grants will be available in autumn 2025.
Application instructions can be found in the Culture, Sport and Youth Grants Applicant’s Guide.
Applications addressed to the Education Department should be sent to Pyyrmani Service Point, Valtakatu 2, 26100 Rauma, tel. 02 834 5000. Late applications will not be considered. The envelope should be marked ‘grant application’.
Only one grant may be awarded for the same purpose. Grants will not be awarded to the city’s own department. For both operating grants and grants for specific purposes, the maximum amount of the grant may not exceed 50 % of the expenditure incurred. The minimum grant amount is EUR 400.
Operating grant
The operating grant is intended for the permanent activities of youth associations and associations working with young people.
Grants are awarded on the basis of the activity, the scale of the activity, the quality of the activity and the impact of the activity.
If the applicant is not an actual youth association and/or the association has separate activities for adults, the expenditure on youth activities must be directly verifiable from the accounts.
Target grant
Youth associations and associations working with young people can apply for a grant for specific events or series of events under the conditions set out below.
Youth associations and associations working with young people can apply for a grant for individual events or series of events that are not part of the association’s normal annual activities, and other associations and youth action groups can apply for a grant for activities for young people or children, for the costs of youth activities or for youth events.
