User charges
A fee is charged for the water sold by the plant and for the drainage and treatment of waste water. The user charge is based on the amount of water used by the property, measured by a water meter installed by the water and sewerage company.
Subject of payment | User charge €/m³, VAT 0 % | VAT 25,5 % | User charge €/m³, VAT 25,5 % |
---|---|---|---|
Water payment | 2,12 | 0,54 | 2,66 |
Waste water payment | 2,12 | 0,54 | 2,66 |
If the property is not connected to the water supply system, but the waste water is discharged into the public sewerage system, the billing basis is 40 m³/person. If the customer discharges storm water into the sewerage system, even though there is a separate sewerage system in the area, a 50% extra charge will be applied.
Exceptions: In the event of exceptional water consumption and/or abnormal quality of the waste water discharged into the network, the amount of the charges may be set separately.
Connection Charges
A connection fee is charged to cover the cost of constructing the water, sewerage and stormwater drainage network. The connection fee entitles the user to be connected to the network. Connection charges do not include VAT.
Connection fees are per property/building site. The connection fees are based on the size of the building’s house pipe and the use of the building.
If several independent buildings are constructed on the same property, each building will be charged a separate connection fee based on the type of connection needed for each house. A stand-alone building is a separate building connected to the water supply system, built on the property itself or on a plot of land leased or on property surrendered in other ways.
If the basis for the connection fee for a property changes, the property shall be charged the difference in connection fees required by the change.
If the property is connected only to the water supply or sewerage network, the connection fee is 2/3 (67%) of the total connection fee for the water and sewerage connection.

The basic charge also includes the rental of a water meter supplied by the utility company, as well as periodic checks and possible replacement of the water meter. The basic charge is based on the size of the water meter on the property.
Size of the meter | Basic charge €/y, VAT 0 % | VAT 25,5 % | Basic charge €/y, VAT 25,5 % |
---|---|---|---|
13-20 mm | 61,22 | 15,61 | 76,83 |

100 mm | 276,77 | 70,58 | 347,35 |
The basic charges mentioned in the table apply to properties connected to both water and sewerage networks. If the property is connected to only one of the above networks, the basic charge is 70% of the charge indicated in the table.
If the water meter is used for less than 6 months per year, the basic charge is 70%. If the property is connected only to the water supply network and the meter is used for less than 6 months per year, the basic charge is 50 %. If the customer discharges rainwater into the sewerage system, even though there is a separate sewerage system in the area, the basic charge is increased by 50%.

A fee of 167,74 € + 42,77 € (VAT 25,5%) = 210,51 € will be charged for opening a closed water valve due to an unpaid water bill.
Charges for fire-fighting water installations (sprinklers)
Provision for the supply of fire-fighting water to the property, the actual costs incurred for the construction of the connection pipe for fire-fighting water installations and any modifications to the main water supply line resulting from the construction of the sprinkler system will be charged.
Additional work for testing etc., such as flushing of the network, will be charged at actual cost. The subscriber shall also pay any costs incurred by a third party for the use and/or testing of the sprinkler installation.
A sprinkler fee will be charged by the installation. The fee is determined according to the category of the sprinkler system as follows:
Sprinkler category | Sprinkler payment €/y |
---|---|

If buildings on the same property have sprinkler systems of different categories, the sprinkler fee is determined according to the highest category.
If the sprinkler system of a building is designed in such a way that its operation is based only on the water flow through the water meter of the property (e.g. a fire water tank filled through the water meter of the property), no fee is charged.
VAT will be added to the charge at the rate in place at the time.
Reading the water meter
There is no extra charge for the usual water meter reading associated with water billing.
In cases where the meter reading is carried out at the request of the subscriber and is not related to a meter inspection or the termination of the contract, the subscriber shall be charged an amount equal to the 20 m³ (water) usage charge for the reading.
The same charge shall also apply if the water meter has to be read after a request for reading has been sent to the subscriber by the utility.
