Car Transporting
Parking on private property without the permission of the property owner or manager is prohibited.
Call for Official Assistance
If the vehicle has not been removed from the plot despite requests, the property owner can ask the municipality to provide the removal. The request for official assistance can be made by the property owner or his representative, usually the property manager, either by letter or e-mail to the following address katri.holmala@rauma.fi.
The request for assistance must show
- vehicle details (register number, brand, colour)
- location of the vehicle
- billing address for the transfer costs
- any other information, e.g. time parked, accidents, etc.
Storage and Scrapping
The city stores the transferred vehicles at the Isometsä depot for 1-3 months, during which time the owner can redeem the vehicle. Once ownership of the vehicle has been transferred to the City at the end of this period, the vehicle will be delivered to an authorized collector.
Vehicle in a Street or Public Area
Unused vehicles stored on the streets (e.g. a vehicle without a number plate) can be reported to the parking control at katri.holmala@rauma.fi. The transfer lead time for the vehicle is 2-7 days.
