Termination Time

The period of notice is one calendar month, starting from the last day of the month in which the notice is given, so for example a contract terminated in January will expire on the last day of February.

Transfer of Electricity Contract

Remember to cancel your electricity contract or transfer it to a new address. Please note that when you terminate your electricity contract, the electricity supply to the apartment will be terminated, so please defrost your fridge and/or freezer carefully.

Moving Help

Be sure to book your moving truck and arrange moving assistance well in advance. The property must be empty and available for the new tenants on the first working day of the month following the month of notice.

When you move, be aware of your neighbours and keep stairwells and escape routes clear. Also make sure you use the lifts properly and follow the lift instructions. For example, if the lift gets stuck due to misuse, we may charge the person moving out for the lift repair.

Final Cleaning

When you move out, a final inspection will be carried out to check the condition of the property. This is important because you are responsible for any damage that has occurred during your tenancy. Please remember to clean your flat and any storage rooms before you move out. Any cleaning and repair costs will reduce the amount of the deposit to be returned. When you move out, please check that

  • the stove and its backsplash, the oven and oven shelves and the grease filter on the extractor hood have been thoroughly washed
  • The fridge and freezer have been defrosted properly and washed thoroughly
  • Drawers, cabinets and cupboards have been emptied and wiped down
  • The toilet and bathroom sinks and floor drains have been cleaned
  • Windows and doors closed
  • Dishwasher and washing machine connection pipes are plugged
  • Cupboard removed to make way for dishwasher has been reinstated
  • All items and equipment are in place, such as remote water meter reading devices, routers with wiring and electrical fittings such as ceiling boxes
  • The storage cupboard in the apartment has been emptied
  • The surfaces and floor have been wiped with a damp cloth

Returning the Keys

Return all keys you have received and commissioned to the property office no later than the day after the end of the contract. Non-returned keys will be charged a serialization fee or electronic keys will be charged the price of new keys.

If you have installed a security lock on the apartment door, leave the security lock on the door and also return all security lock keys to the property office.
