Nanunkallio School
The Nanunkallio Primary School comprises grades 1-6, preparatory and special needs education, pre-school and after-school club. The new facilities are designed for 550 children. The target cost of the project is €38.1 million.
Background
The future Nanunkallio school will comprise the existing Nanu school and Kourujärvi school, excluding the Nanu secondary school, which will move to the Karin campus, next to the Hj. Nortamo primary school.
It has been decided to build the new building on the Aro-Nanu plot in the Nummi area.
The total area of the school and preparation kitchen is approximately 8,350 m2 gross.
Timetable
The project will be carried out under a joint venture contract, where the contractor will be responsible for the design, permitting and construction of the project.
The procurement phase will take place between January and October 2024. The joint development phase with the selected partner will start in October and end in February 2025.
New construction will take place between February 2025 and February 2027. The demolition of the temporary premises of the Nanu school and the disused preparation kitchen, and the landscaping of the demolition area underneath, will be carried out during 2027.
