The deadline for applications for the 2025 operating and specific grants in the field of sport is 31 October 2024 at 16:00.

Applications addressed to the Department of Education should be sent preferably to Pyyrmani Service Point, Valtakatu 2, 26100 RAUMA,
p. 02 834 5000. Late applications will not be considered. The envelope should be marked ‘grant application’.

Only one grant may be awarded for the same purpose. Grants will not be awarded to the city’s own department. For both the operating grant and the specific grant, the maximum amount of the grant may not exceed 50 % of the expenditure incurred. The minimum grant amount is EUR 400.

The following are eligible for a grant

• a registered Rauma-based sports club, the applicant for registration must be a certified copy, a Rauma-based association or a subdivision of a sports club or association operating in the Rauma region, with independent finances and whose main activity is sports.
  
• other registered association in Rauma, whose main activity according to its statutes is the development of physical education, sports education, sports science or other regional activities promoting physical activity.
  
• organisations and associations for people with disabilities that are active in the city or involve people from Rauma and include physical activity in their programme. The above-mentioned grant is only for sports activities.
  
• the grant is for a calendar year. The grant application must be accompanied by the annual accounts for the last financial year for which the accounts have been closed. If there has been a material change in the financial information since the previous period, a separate statement must be provided.
  
• one club cannot receive more than 35% of the total grant.
