Rauma’s new swimming pool will open on March 17. Swimming will be allowed during normal opening hours, starting at 6 a.m. on Monday. The gym connected to the swimming pool will open later.

Rauma’s new indoor swimming pool on the Kari campus will open on March 17, 2025.
The last swimming day at the old swimming pool is Sunday, March 9th, from 11 am to 5 pm. Moving operations from the old swimming pool to the new swimming pool requires measures, such as moving the cash register system. For this reason, neither swimming pool will be open during the transition week, March 10th to 16th.

Access to the parking lot from Sahankatu. Entrance from door E1.
There is also a parking garage. The parking garage is open on weekdays from 5:00 to 22:00 and on weekends from 5:00 to 18:00. Exit is always possible. Parking is free of charge.
There are 10 charging points for hybrid and electric cars in the area. One of the places is marked with a disability sign. Charging with the Virta app and a Type2 charging cable.

Gym
The swimming pool gym will be opened at a separately announced time.
The gym is a low-threshold gym. The gym is 120 m2 in size.
The swimming pool wristband fee includes the gym fee. Wristbands are not sold separately for the gym.
Swimming time is two hours. Total time in the gym/swimming pool is 4½ hours.

Swimming pool technical data
Lap pool: length 25 meters, 8 lanes, width 2.5 meters. Pool depth 1.35-1.95 meters. Pool area 530 m2. Water temperature 27 degrees. The pool has a mobile pool lift.
Diving pool: Pool area 148 m2. Depth 3.85 meters and temperature 27 degrees. The pool has a diving board 1 meter and diving platforms 3 and 5 meters.
Therapy pool: Pool area 135 m2. Depth 1.2 – 1.4 meters. Water temperature 29 degrees. The pool has two massage points. In addition to guided water gymnastics, the pool offers the opportunity to do gymnastics independently using the hydrohex screen. The pool has a mobile pool lift.
Youth pool: Length 10 meters and depth 1 – 1.2 meters. Pool area 101 m2. Water temperature 30 degrees. Children’s pool: Length 10 meters and depth 0.6-09 meters. Pool area 82 m2. Water temperature 30 degrees. The pool has a mobile pool lift.
Paddling pool: Depth 0.15-0.30 meters. Pool area 18 m2. Water temperature 30 degrees. Jacuzzi: Depth 1 meter and pool area 6 m2. Temperature 32 degrees.
Cold pool: Depth 1.2 meters and pool area 6 m2. Temperature 7 degrees.

Facilities Observatory: Approximately 400 seats.
The changing and washing facilities have 201 lockers for women and 189 for men.
Le facilities: There are separate changing and washing facilities for people with reduced mobility and for on-demand use.
The men’s and women’s sides each have 2 saunas and 1 steam sauna. There are also two separate/on-demand saunas.
Other things to consider
You can buy a swimming pool wristband from the cafeteria in the campus lobby.
The swimming pool is shoeless. Shoes must be left in the shoe racks inside the entrance gate or carried in your hands to the locker room and out of the locker room.
The wristband is used to open and close the locker rooms. When leaving, the locker door must be left open, otherwise you will not be able to exit the entrance gate.
The wristband can be used to check the locker number on the screens in the locker rooms.
In the multi-purpose pool, you can exercise independently according to the instructions of the Hydrohex program outside of the guided water gymnastics.
Lost and found items can be found in the cafeteria and will be stored for two weeks.
All old serial swimming pool wristbands will work in the new swimming pool if they have visits left.

Senior bracelet
The senior wristband is intended for Rauma residents over 65 years of age and those who will turn 65 during the current year. Old-age and disability pensioners can also purchase a senior wristband.
The senior wristband can be purchased at the swimming pool cashier.
The wristband allows you to swim and go to the gym on weekdays before 2 p.m.
Online download of serial bracelets
Online download of serial wristbands is possible.
To download, you need the wristband number and online banking credentials. You can buy 10- and 20-time serial tickets for adults, children and seniors online for the swimming pool.
Of the above tickets, you can only buy the ones that were most recently downloaded to your wristband.
The product must be downloaded for the first time at the swimming pool cashier and can be downloaded online in the future.
A serial ticket purchased online will be downloaded to the wristband at the swimming pool gate no earlier than 2 hours after purchase and must be activated at the gate no later than 30 days.
NOTE! You cannot pay for entrance fees with personal sports benefits in advance, payment is only made at the swimming pool cashier.

The new swimming pool is located on the Kari campus.
The complex includes Hj. Nortamo comprehensive school, a community college and the visual arts and theater schools, a music college, a youth gathering space, a swimming pool and a gym.
