Music Playschool and Preparatory Instrument Instruction
Early music education is a gradual process of teaching, aiming to develop a child’s creativity, musical skills and self-esteem.
Ensemble Playing and Groups
Ensemble playing is part of the student’s musical learning. Ensemble skills are studied in a specific and characteristic way for each instrument, in different modules, taking into account the age and stage of the student’s studies.

Curriculum
The Rauma Music Institute follows the curriculum approved by the City’s Education Committee starting from 1.8.2018. An update of the curriculum was approved on 22.6.2022.
The Path of the Player
The Path of the Player is an example of the progression and content of music studies at the Rauma Music Institute, from music playschool for babies to the end of the extended syllabus in basic education in the arts.
Each learner’s path is individual and the journey towards the goal varies depending on the instrument and the age at which the studies begin!

Music Institute Relief Association
The Rauma Music Institute Relief Association was established in 1971. Since its conception, the association has worked for the benefit of music education in the region, the Rauma Music Institute and its students.
