Museums
The museums in the Old Rauma area are among the oldest in Finland. Museum activities are visible throughout the city in the form of exhibitions and collections, as well as a wide range of educational and information services.
Welcome to Rauma Museum!
Rauma Museum is responsible for the operations of the City Art Museum and the Cultural History Museum, as well as the museum collections. The museum offers experiences at six different museum sites and at the Rauma World Heritage Sites.
Our aim is to record, research, preserve and exhibit the cultural and artistic history of our region, as well as its contemporary art. The Rauma City Museum includes the Art Museum, the Old Town Hall, Marela, Kirsti, Potter’s workshop (Savenvalajan verstas) and Blacksmith’s home (Sepän torppa). We operate in the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Old Rauma and Sammallahdenmäki.
