Evening, Night and Weekend Care

During a guardian’s shift work or studies, the child is cared for in the evening, at night or at the weekend. If the need is low, the child’s early childhood education is provided at a normal daycare center or family daycare, and when the need arises, at a round-the-clock daycare center.

To obtain a place in a round-the-clock daycare center, both parents must present a certificate from their employer confirming that they work shift work or from their educational establishment confirming that they study during evenings and/or weekends.

Shift care in Rauma is centralised at Papinpelto Daycare Center. There is also morning and evening care at Myllytonttu Daycare Center in Lappi from Monday to Friday from 5.30 to 22.30.
