On Friday 14 June, the Art Picnic at Parpansali will showcase young people’s art and participants will also have the opportunity to create their own art. The Art Picnic will take place from 17 to 21 at the Parpansali Park located on Kanavakatu 15. Free admission.

On Tuesday 18 June, there will be a Stay a Kid Day for 12–17 year olds at the Kuovi Youth Centre from 12 to 18. The programme includes at least water fights, toe painting and bead jewellery making. On Wednesday 19 June, there will be a Midsummer Night’s Eve party for 11–17 year olds at the Kuovi Youth Centre from 17 to 20, with summer songs, games and treats. The events are part of the KesäKuovi, an open youth club activity. In June, the Kuovi Youth Centre will be open every Monday and Wednesday from 17 to 20 for all 7–17 year olds.

The Youth of Savila event brings TUULI, AHTI and HUGO to the stage. Youth of Savila in Savila Park on Wednesday 26 July from 18 to 22. The event is free of charge.

Hang out at Otanlahti with OtaChill on Saturday 17 August from 16 to 20. The performers and programme for this free event will be announced later.

– We hope that young people will be as enthusiastic about the summer events as they were about the Out of School weekend. The event on 1 June brought at least 600 young people to the Kivikylä Arena to hear SHRTY and Cledos perform. The atmosphere was great and everyone was singing along, says Julia Nummi, youth counsellor.

During the summer, the Tauno-car is on the road on Fridays and Saturdays from 17 to 22. During Midsummer and Black Lace Night, Tauno is on holiday.
