The City of Rauma is once again participating in the celebration of Baltic Sea Day on Thursday, August 29th.

During the day, there will be two free screenings of the film Minun mereni (“My Sea”) at the Iso-Hannu Cinema at 1 PM and 5 PM. The screenings will last approximately 45 minutes.

On Baltic Sea Day, the city’s service point’s Pyyrman bike will be on the move in support of clean water. You can spot the Pyyrman bike in the city center between 12 PM and 3 PM.

Rauma Maritime Museum will offer a “pay what you can” admission from 12 PM to 4 PM on Baltic Sea Day. The exhibition by visual artist Katariina Mannio will be on display in the museum’s tower until August 31st.

In the Kuuskajaskari Island, Baltic Sea Day continues on Finnish Nature Day, Saturday, August 31st. The program includes free island tours and information about cottages being built on the island.

The first tour starts at 11.15 AM, and the second at 12.30 PM, each lasting 45 minutes. You can reach the island via scheduled water bus transportation. The water bus departs from Marina Vista at 10.30 AM. Water bus transportation is not free of charge.
