Rauma’s new swimming hall on the Kari Campus will open on Monday 17 March 2025. Swimmers will be able to go swimming during normal opening hours, starting at 6am on Monday. The gym attached to the swimming hall will open at a later date.

– The commissioning process of the swimming hall is progressing as planned. The wait will be rewarded when the hall opens. According to the feedback from the test swimmers, we will have a wonderful, beautiful hall that will be like a diamond in the city,” says Ari Rajamäki, Deputy Manager of the Sports Department.

The last day of swimming in the old swimming hall will be on Sunday 9 March from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Moving the activities from the old swimming hall to the new swimming hall requires measures such as moving the cashier system. Therefore, during the transition week from 10 to 16 March, neither of the two swimming pools will be open. An exception has been agreed with the swimming clubs so that training sessions can still be held in the old hall during the period of non-use.

The full functionality of the new swimming hall will only be seen when it is fully operational on a daily basis. In practice, the commissioning process will continue once the pool is open to the public. In addition to the swimming pools, the functioning of the washing and changing facilities will be actively monitored. Adjustments and repairs are made as necessary. The new swimming pool will also have a summer break, so that any changes that may be needed can be taken into account and any changes that may be necessary can be made.
