Raumanmeren Juhannus festival affects traffic arrangements in the Ota area

The Raumanmeren Juhannus festival will take place in the Otanlahti beach park on 20.-22.6. The event will cause changes to traffic arrangements in the Ota area from Monday 17.6.

Street closures started on Monday 17 June at 10 am, and the temporary arrangements will be cleared by 20:00 on Sunday 23 June.

• Suvitie will be closed between Otantie and Poroholmantie from Monday 17 June. The road will be opened to traffic on Sunday 23 June at 20:00.
• Heinästenkatu will be closed from the Aarnenpolku junction and Kaskistenkatu from the Pidesluodonkatu junction. The roads will be closed to traffic from Wednesday 19 June at 22:00 until Sunday 23 June at 18:00.
• Urheilukatu is closed to public traffic between Raumanmerenkatu and Poroholmantie. Poroholmantie will be closed between Urheilukatu-Kalastajantie. Poroholma’s customers and Raumanmeren Juhannus caravan and tent camping are allowed. Roads will be closed from Wednesday 19 June at 22:00 until Sunday 23 June at 18:00.
• Otantie will be closed to traffic between the junction of Suokarinkatu and the junction of Suvitie. Suvitie will be closed until the junction with the summer theatre. Driving is permitted for residents of the houses, Raumanmeren Juhannus camping and guests of the outdoor swimming pool. Roads will be closed from Wednesday 19 June at 22:00 until Sunday 23 June at 18:00.
• Raumanmerenkatu will be converted into a one-way street between the Ota roundabout and Urheilukatu.
• Parking bans will be imposed on Rauhankatu, Saaristokatu, Urheilukatu, Pursikatu, Raumanmerenkatu and Pyynpäänkatu.
• The parking area between Urheilukatu 3 and Urheilukatu 5 will be closed to public use. Resident parking will be allowed. Residents will be issued with parking permits for resident parking. Residents-only parking will be valid from Wednesday 19 June at 16:00 until Sunday 23 June at 16:00.
• The parking area on Raumanmerenkatu next to the Family Support Centre, opposite Raumanmerenkatu 17, will be restricted to Raumanmeren Juhannus and Family Support Centre staff only. Parking permits will be issued by the event organiser. Restricted parking will be in effect from Wednesday 19 June at 16:00 until Sunday 23 June at 16:00.
