Old Town Hall clock faces out of use – site works underway

The clock faces in the Old Town Hall are currently not in operation. Preparatory works for the renovation, restoration and new building project are being carried out in the building, and the site is currently being set up.
– At the moment, the clock faces are not in time, so you cannot check the time on the clocks in the tower as usual. The building has been handed over to the contractor for the duration of the work, says architect Minna Linnala.
Work on the foundations of the new building will start later this year, and next spring the building will be covered by a weather shelter. The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2026.
